Business Details
We are Dogfather K9 Connections, a licensed kennel facility founded in 2011 by Frank Romano, who brings more than 22 years of specialized canine care and training experience to our operations. Our owners background includes service as a U.S. Army Military Police K9 program troubleshooter, where he renovated uncertified kennels to meet strict military standards, and 18 years as a California Highway Patrol K9 officer and Master Trainer. We operate our facility on a 17-acre ranch in Santa Rosa, California, designed specifically to provide a safe, clean, and tranquil environment for every dog in our care. Our team maintains rigorous sanitization protocols for all housing units, play areas, and equipment to ensure a healthy stay for every guest. An on-site manager resides full-time on the property, and we use a fully monitored security system to provide constant oversight of all dogs around the clock. We offer climate-controlled indoor and outdoor covered housing units with heating and cooling to keep dogs comfortable in all weather conditions.
Our guests spend structured break times each day in eight extra-large exercise areas, a fully fenced 100-yard fetch field, and a double-filtered swimming pond with an aeration system. We use calming classical music designed by a psychoacoustic expert throughout the day and night to reduce stress and improve behavior for a more relaxing stay. Our on-site Dirty Dog Salon provides full-service grooming and bathing performed by professional staff, so owners do not need to visit a separate location for these services. We prioritize transparency with clients, welcoming facility tours by appointment and encouraging calls with any questions during business hours. Our core mission is to deliver peace of mind to dog owners by treating every K9 companion as our top priority, with a commitment to safe, fun, and trustworthy care at all times.
