Business Details
We are Grateful Dog Grooming, a low-stress, home-based canine grooming salon based in Pukalani, Hawaii, on the island of Maui. We have specialized in professional canine styling since 2014, bringing years of dedicated experience to every pet we care for. We exclusively offer one-on-one grooming appointments to ensure each dog receives undivided attention and avoids unnecessary time spent in a busy salon environment. We prioritize compassionate, positive reinforcement handling for every pet, working with owners to create safe, low-stress grooming experiences for even the most anxious dogs. We provide tailored services for all life stages, including gentle puppy introduction grooms and specialized elderly comfort grooms to meet each dogs unique needs. We adhere to strict humane treatment standards, and we will not demat a dogs coat unless the owner has requested a short clip to safely remove matting. We maintain a flea-free facility, and require all pets to be up to date on flea preventative prior to their appointment to uphold this standard.
We prioritize clients who book recurring appointments and adhere to an 8-week or shorter maintenance grooming schedule to support consistent coat and skin health for their pets. We have a special affinity for grooming doodle breeds, and we apply specialized techniques to keep their unique coats healthy and well-styled. We offer optional luxury house call grooming services for clients who prefer in-home care, provided the property has a safe bathing area with a detachable showerhead. We include core grooming services such as nail trimming, ear cleaning, paw pad hair removal, baths, and blowdrying in every standard one-on-one session. We are committed to supporting long-term pet health through regular grooming, and we welcome conversations with owners to customize care plans for their individual dogs.

Luxury House Call Grooming
We offer luxury house call grooming services with pricing available upon request for clients seeking in-home care. This service requires a safe property bathing area with a detachable showerhead to be provided by the client. It is ideal for dogs with salon anxiety or owners unable to travel to our home location.
Puppy Introduction Grooms
We provide gentle puppy introduction grooms to help young dogs build positive, low-stress associations with grooming early in life. These sessions use slow, patient handling and positive reinforcement to keep puppies calm and comfortable. They cover basic needs including baths, nail trims, and light coat styling to establish positive grooming habits.
Elderly Comfort Grooms
We offer specialized elderly comfort grooms tailored to the unique needs of senior dogs with mobility issues, sensitive skin, or anxiety. These sessions use extra gentle handling and adjusted pacing to keep senior pets relaxed and stress-free throughout their appointment. We collaborate with owners to address age-specific grooming concerns to support their dogs overall comfort and health.
