I'm Frances deVries. I live in Bellingham, WA with my retired racing greyhound, Shifty. I have been an animal lover my whole life. Around the age of 13, I became involved in dog training and attended many obedience shows. I was also a crazy horse girl, joining our local pony club and attending horse camps. I would say that my love of animals has never been limited to one breed or species though.
Much of my dog walking/sitting experience comes from jobs I have done for fellow owners of retired racing greyhounds. I have cared for up to 7 dogs at a time, along with overnight visits. With so many dogs in my care at one time, I have occasionally had to deal with doggy behavioral problems. This has taught me a great deal about how dogs interact with humans and each other.
I have also done some cat pet sitting, which I love as well.

A gas surcharge may apply for residences outside of the Bellingham city limits - please call for details.
The in-home pet sitting visits include such things as exercising/play time with your pet, feeding, changing their water, and giving any necessary medications.
They may also include watering plants, picking up the mail, taking out trash/recycling, turning on/off lights, and opening/closing the blinds.
These tasks are all included in the pet sitting fee - there is no extra charge for giving meds, etc.

Care for your clients' pets as if they were your own.
As a pet sitter, I always look to find the cuteness and uniqueness in my clients' pets.
I also care for their wellbeing as if they were my own.
Pets are basically an extension of our families and it's important to bear that in mind while pet sitting.
This also applies to those pets that are a bit naughty at times!.
