I have lived and worked in Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan since 1986.

While my time at each of these employers was a great learning experience and my work was enjoyable, I was still looking for a sense of personal satisfaction.
When I had the opportunity in October of 2014 to go in a new direction, starting a pet business in the Sault was the perfect solution.
I had been volunteering at the Chippewa County Animal Control Shelter as a dog walker for most of that year, getting to know and love the dogs there (even the ones that get overlooked because of their sometimes snarly behavior).

All of my services include a free 30-60 minute initial consultation in your home to chat and to let your dog get to know me while we fill out the necessary paperwork.
This is an important step: your pet needs to be familiar with the new person that will be caring for him or her, and you want to know what is included in my service.
Afterwards, I like to take a 10 minute walk with you and your dog: this will allow me to observe what to expect from your pet when on a leash.
I want to know the things that make your dog happy, afraid, concerned, or protective towards humans.

A simple walk around the neighborhood to stretch the legs and sniff for clues about who else has been by is sure to relieve the stress or boredom of being at home alone.
Regular walks will also help control excess weight and use up all of that energy your dog saves for greeting you at the end of your workday!
Scheduling regular walks is not a requirement, however; if your pet only needs an occasional outing, contact me and I will do my best to fit Rover into the daily schedule.
