Our 90 pound black lab is not a "dainty" fella. He will plunge into icy cold water after a duck without a thought. However, anytime we have to leave him at the vet for a teeth cleaning, this tough guy is howling and crying when I pick him up. Talk about mom guilt! We simply would not be able to board him somewhere that he stays in a metal kennel all day.

I recently traded in my corporate job to be a stay at home mom to two beautiful (human) girls and two handsome (Labrador) boys. This also gave us the opportunity to begin this long time dream of running a small dog kennel. My girls love being involved with the dogs almost as much as I do (I see vet school in their future). I've been working with dogs since I was a young 4-Her.

I won multiple obedience and showmanship Champion ribbons at the county fair level and competed at regional and state level 4-H competitions many times. My husband and I now enjoy spending time together working with our duck dogs, Jack (11) and Hank (1).
Services
Dog Boarding and Pricing
Report
We know it can be hard to leave your fur baby in the care of someone else- that is why we started this business!
Our boarding service is personalized to your pet's needs.
Even though we recently moved the business out of our home (we now live 2 blocks away) we still run things the same.
We have large 5x5 and 4x6 pens as well as 4x4 (for smaller dogs' comfort) in our heated/cooled facility.
Our typical day starts by 7am with going out and getting breakfast ready for everyone.
Once everyone has had a chance to "go" we begin morning playtime while kennels are cleaned.

One of the many exciting things about our new facility is that we were able to add the service of cat boarding.
We have a separate area (far far away from the dogs) where your kitty can relax and look out the window and watch cars and birds and the action on the Mighty Mississippi.
Talk about a room with a view!
Why leave your cat at home alone to destroy your curtains when they could enjoy a little vacation time of their own?
A clean litter box twice a day, fresh food & water, along with some cuddle time will allow them to forgive you for leaving much sooner!
Dog Daycare and Pricing

Have a job that requires long days at the office?
Or do you have a puppy that needs to go out frequently or you want them to have social opportunities?
Or, maybe a high energy dog that just wants to "go" when you get home from a long day at work?
Then Dog Daycare may be a good fit for you and your dog.
We tire them out for you so that when you get home, you can crash on the couch peacefully- together!
Dogs must pass a behavior evaluation and must be spayed or neutered if they are over 6 months old (State of Iowa requirement).
Guest Requirements
Report
Dogs must be current on their Rabies vaccine as well as Distemper & Parvo (often these two show on vet records as DHPPL4, DA2PPV, Da2pp, DHLPP, or something similar).
We also require Bordetella (kennel cough).
Vaccination records are required upon arrival (we highly recommend you send it ahead of time so there are no last minute surprises).
Contact your veterinarian for any additional vaccines they may recommend for your pet while being boarded.
Treats - I use treats to help make your dog become more comfortable with me (like the aunt that lets you eat candy when you go visit!).
